This red carpet gala vintage Vuokko designer 1970s gown is stunning with its cascading full circle back drape, a seamless wonder. 

I have never seen one like it, except for the Vuokko Circle Cape Gown 1960s Taupe Wool we have on the site, which is even more dramatic! The front of the dress has no darts at the bust- it is very straight. It's also very long. Made of 100% virgin wool voile, and lined with ivory acetate taffeta. The dress is sleeveless with the cape creating a sort of sleeve that is so full and flowing, it is genius design!

Vuokko Nurmesniemi was a principal designer for Marimekko and known for bold color and shape combinations, whimsical looks. This gown is no exception. It is almost ethereal when in movement, and graceful in design when still. The dress itself is slightly A-line.

Could be a great vintage wedding gown.
