Description:

1960s Girard Perregaux Alarm 7742Y Stainless Steel Wristwatch. Timepiece is in overall great condition. Stainless steel is super clean and has remained unpolished. Some wear and patina in keeping with age and usage as shown. Original crowns are present. Case is fully hallmarked and stamped. Original Swiss T silver dial is excellent with gorgeous warm plots and hands. Luminescent tritium plots and hands are all original, reacts to UV and fades at same pace. Original plexiglass crystal is nice, does show some markings in direct sun. Timepiece has retained its original alarm date wheel. Manual wind movement runs and functions. Alarm function works great and is loud. 18mm Long size strap is currently on watch. Most of the examples that are floating around are in not so nice shape, so its something special when a nice example makes its way to the market.
